The Outstanding Faculty/Staff Advisor Award recognizes professionals that demonstrate commitment to their students as an active mentor or through providing exceptional dedication to the success of a student organization.
Judging Criteria
The Advisor demonstrated consistent dedication to the students and their goals. The leadership style of the Advisor was consistent with the needs of the group. Advisor's participation was a positive influence on student learning and organization success.
The Outstanding Student Leader Award recognizes exceptional individuals for leadership and service to an organization, department, the campus or community.
Judging Criteria
1. Cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5 (Verified by Student Activities)
2. Demonstrable Campus and/or Community involvement
3. Clear explanation of leadership abilities
4. Verifiable effectiveness in Organization or Department
The Award for Outstanding Organization is given for collective achievement by a club or organization that consistently demonstrates leadership through exceptional programming and campus or community involvement.
Judging Criteria
The organization was engaged with the campus.
The organization represented the campus positively through its activities.
The programs that the organization sponsored were effective and successful.
The organization contributed significantly to learning, campus life and/or the Sacramento State community.
The Enhancing Diversity Award recognizes achievement by an organization or individual that has made significant contributions to the campus community by fostering an environment of diversity through programs or leadership.
Judging Criteria
The program’s purpose and goals are clearly stated and were achieved.
Sacramento State students, Alumni or community members were involved in the event.
The program demonstrated successful execution of planning and publicity.
The program enhanced diversity through intended goals and outcomes.
The Outstanding Program / Event Award recognizes achievement by an organization that successfully plans, promotes and carries out an event that reaches a significant number of students, Alumni, or community members.
Judging Criteria
The program reached a large number of Sacramento State students, Alumni or community members.
The program demonstrated successful execution of planning and publicity.
The Outstanding Collaborative Program Award recognizes a program or event thatdemonstrated exceptional efforts of teamwork between student organizations or between astudent organization and an academic department.
Judging Criteria
The goals were clearly stated and achieved.Each participating organization contributed to the success of the event.
The program demonstrated successful execution of planning and publicity.
The program enhanced campus life.
The program strengthened each participating organization’s identification.
The Outstanding Service Program / Event Award recognizes achievement by an organization that successfully plans, promotes and carries out a service event that reaches a significant number of students, Alumni, or community members.
Judging Criteria
The program reached a large number of Sacramento State students, Alumni or community members.
The program demonstrated successful execution of planning and publicity.
The program achieved intended goals and outcomes.
